FASHION SHOW
Hope Runway NYC is a children’s charity fashion event created by volunteers with one clear purpose: to help five-year-old Emilia move closer to a life-changing personalized gene therapy.
Every child walking the runway becomes part of Emilia’s story and part of a larger hope for children living with the same rare genetic condition.

We want to send a simple message:
All children are children
Every child deserves to be seen. Every child deserves an opportunity to shine. There are no diagnoses on our runway. There are children, dreams, families, and love.
We are contributing our professional skills because we believe Emilia deserves this chance.
We are not doing this for profit.
Meet Emilia
Emilia is five years old.
She lives with an extremely rare genetic condition caused by a mutation in the QARS1 gene.
Despite everything she faces, Emilia continues to work, grow, and fight alongside her family and friends.

The fundraising goal:
This experimental therapy aims to treat an ultra-rare, severe genetic disorder, with a fundraising goal of approximately $3,000,000 to cover complex research and medical milestones.
More about Emilia:
According to information available to the family, only a few dozen children worldwide are known to have this diagnosis.
Her first seizures began on the third day of her life.Because of the condition, Emilia:cannot walk independently; does not speak; requires continuous care and assistance; experiences serious neurological challenges; attends multiple therapy and rehabilitation sessions every week.
Why QARS1 is so rare
QARS1-related disease is an ultra-rare genetic disorder, there is no widely available standard treatment aimed at addressing its root cause: the genetic defect.
A scientific team is working toward the possibility of developing a personalized gene therapy for Emilia.
The goal is to deliver a functioning copy of the QARS1 gene and address the underlying cause of the disease—not only manage its symptoms.
Why this research matters
This research represents hope for Emilia, but its importance may extend further-may also help:
- other children currently living with QARS1-related disease;
- families searching for answers today;
- children who may receive the same diagnosis in the future;
- researchers studying similar ultra-rare genetic conditions.

To register a child, simply choose at least one audience ticket to the charity show.
1 audience seat

One reserved seat for a parent, relative or guest.
2 audience seats
$270
Two reserved seats for parents, relatives or guests.
MOM + CHILD RUNWAY EXPERIENCE
$390
A special experience where both mom and child participate in the Hope Runway fashion show.
Participating families are not simply purchasing a place in a fashion show. Their contribution directly supports Emilia’s gene therapy fundraising effort.
Fundraising activity will be documented through the family’s established fundraising platforms and reporting.
